Everything about this place reflects an incredible attention to detail—every element is clearly designed to make each bite perfect. The sandwich was outstanding: warm, perfectly toasted sourdough, gently heated ham, Brie that was melted just right (rich but never gooey), and baby spinach with the ideal crunch. The müesli was just as impeccable—creamy Greek yogurt, a spoonful of local honey, and finely chopped apple that brought everything together beautifully.

Very casual cute breakfast place! They have many teas, coffees, went smoothies. I had the cardinal breakfast sandwich and it was GREAT! If you’re around looking for a quick friendly tasty breakfast, this is it!

3 of us ordeded the curried chicken salad sandwich, the spinach beet salad add smoked salmon, the tomato soup with grilled cheese & the grinder with side salad. all of our food was insanely delicious. the tomato bisque was the most flavorful ive ever had. excellent service and very accommodating and kind. there's plenty cute indoor seating too. great vibe. thankyou!!

Great first time experience! I love Shepherdstown and everytime I'm visiting I try to dine at a new place each time. Very glad I finally got to try this little gem! Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Ok a cold rainy day I had to go with the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and included the ham and brie with the soup du jour, a mushroom sherry soup. The soups were extremely flavorful! The tomato was by far the best I've ever had! The owner/chef makes his own infused oils, and the tomato soup had the basil infused oil while the mushroom soup had scallion infused oil. It's amazing what that little detail could do to the flavor of the soup! The sandwiches were outstanding and tasted extremely fresh! I really hope to make it in early enough sometime to try their breakfast as well. Very welcoming and quaint cafe with a humble yet outstanding menu.

The food here was amazing! We had the bagel with lox which was flavorful and filling. The Cardinal sandwich seems like a strange combination to put together, but it works! The lattes and hot chocolate were rich and delicious as well. If you love supporting small business, eat here.

We had the most delicious sandwiches here! Tuna melt on gluten free bread and a chicken salad on sourdough. Had a delicious matcha latte and covered my partner’s elderberry iced tea so much, I ordered one for myself.

I ordered the Smoked Salmon BLT. It was very fresh. Bread was crispy, perfect amount of Aoli and even the chips were perfect. Jordan and the waitress held it down through the rush. Amazing experience. I highly recommend this place.

We were very impressed, the quality of everything was stand out. Fresh impressive salad, beautiful artisan sandwiches. Memorable potato chips even! A beautiful sweet tea and London fog to wash it down. Perfection here!
